Specifications include, but are not limited to: The ability to offer a vibrant sports recreation program to the Tempe community is an important component of the Community Services Department mission. The awarded firm will play a key role in supporting this effort through the provisioning of qualified and experienced sports referees. The successful Contractor will employ the sports officials. The Contractor will recruit, interview, select, train, and terminate all temporary employees under this contract. The City reserves the right to accept or reject all sports officials or other temporary employees submitted for consideration. The Contractor will provide the City with all application forms for sports officials. The Contractor will be responsible for all mailings of W-2 or 1099 forms to the temporary employees. The Contractor is also responsible for all liabilities related to the payroll function, i.e. federal tax deposits, any and all required reporting, etc. The Contractor must have a physical office in the Phoenix metropolitan area. The work week for temporary employees provided by the Contractor should normally be forty (40) hours or less, Monday through Sunday, including holidays.
