Specifications include, but are not limited to: To meet the project objectives of providing complete and comprehensive set of bid documents for the work associated with this RFP. This Project is anticipated to be phased over 4 years and will require up to 5 individual Bid sets (one contract for structural steel repairs/enhancements, and up to four individual roof replacement contracts). The project requirements shall include, but are not limited to, the following: A. The selected Designer will attend a kick-off meeting to review the project scope and coordinate on-site surveys. B. Existing Conditions Investigations: Selected Designer will conduct on-site surveys of the Ryan Center and Ryan Center Roof. C. Construction Documents: Selected Designer will prepare design drawings and technical specifications for the structural improvements. Design drawings and specifications will be submitted to the University of Rhode Island in accordance with Exhibit “A” for review and comment. Documents will then be reissued as 100% documents that will incorporate URI’s review comments. Drawing development is to be prioritized based on project sequencing identified in Exhibit “C”. The Document Submittals will generally include the following: 1. Structural analysis report for existing framing 2. Structural analysis report for existing framing with modifications 3. Construction Drawings for all structural modifications 4. Construction drawings showing locations and types of snowguards, roof connection details. 5. Construction drawings for new rigging trusses 6. Roof Replacement plan outlining replacement phases 7. Estimates for all work 8. Project narrative report that will outline the scope of the project, work sequence, impairment procedures, etc. 9. Project Manual as required for Plan Review Submission. 10. Incorporate bid alternates into the design documents as directed. The Final Construction Documents will include the final construction drawings and specifications including the information above addressing any comments provided by URI.
