Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Crabtree Creek Greenway Trail Gap Project consists of construction of an elevated boardwalk, widening sidewalk along Lassiter Mill Road bridge, and grade separate under bridge connecting to Crabtree Creek Trail. Construction is anticipated to begin in early Spring 2025. The South Saunders Street Pedestrian Improvement Project consists of construction of a shared use path along South Saunders Street from Lake Wheeler Road to north of Dorothea Drive to include a box culvert extension and improved pedestrian crossings. Construction is anticipated to begin in early 2025. The North Blue Ridge Road Widening Project consists of widening Blue Ridge Road between Homewood Banks Drive and Crabtree Valley Drive to include center turn lane, raised median, complete streets improvements and grade separation with House Creek Greenway. Construction is anticipated to begin in Fall 2024. The Old Wake Forest Road-North Project consists of modifying Dixie Forest Road/Old Wake Forest Road from Spring Forest Road to Capital Boulevard into a complete street. Dixie Forest will receive new MUP, mid-block crosswalk, and median separated lanes. The intersection at Old Wake Forest Road will receive curb ramp, crossing, and signal improvements. Sidewalk connections will be made on Litchford Road and Atlantic Road at the intersections. Old Wake Forest Road will get widened to median divided 4 lane road with MUP on the north side and sidewalk on the south side. Curb and gutter and closed stormwater will be added. The existing bridge over the CSX rail line will be widened. Transit stops, curb ramps, and crosswalks will be improved. Construction is anticipated to begin in Fall 2024. Separate firm(s) may be selected for each project noted above and separate records will need to be kept for each project. The selected firm(s) will report directly to the City of Raleigh, administer the construction contract, and ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the contract requirements.
