Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Beaverton is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to provide state government relations services on behalf of the City. Such services include, but are not limited to: • Advocating on behalf of the city before various state regulatory and the Oregon Legislative Assembly and conducting issue management as needed preparatory to such activities. • Assisting the city, through the direction of the Government Relations Manager, with strategic and tactical advice relative to governmental issues affecting the city. Common issue areas include, but are not limited to, transportation, housing, land use, urban development and redevelopment, public safety, environment, taxation, economic development, and state funding. • Facilitating meetings for city officials with various state elected and appointed officials. • Assisting the city in developing and sustaining long-term substantive relationships with state elected and appointed officials. • Assisting the city in pursuing and securing state and local governmental program and discretionary funding. • Assisting the city in advancing city projects and priorities. • Contractor shall not directly or indirectly participate in or intervene in any political campaign on behalf of or in opposition to any city-level initiative, referendum or recall petition, measure or candidate. (This restriction does not prohibit the contractor from assisting the city in providing only impartial, factual information related to an initiative, referendum or recall petition, measure or candidate). • Contractor shall provide the city with a complete and up-dated client list prior to and during the term of any contract resulting from this procurement.
