Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Santa Fe will allocate American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding to Fund, assess, and expand the reach of new and existing best practice violence prevention education programs to the greatest number of community members possible. Education should be audience-specific, trauma informed, culturally relevant, and apply a racial and gender equity lens. Content should increase participants’ knowledge and confidence in preventing, identifying, and responding to common forms of violence, including child abuse, intimate partner violence, sexual violence, bullying at work and school, online abuse and exploitation, active shooter situations, gun violence and suicidal ideation. This request is based on the City of Santa Fe’s Violence Prevention Strategic Plan Critical Priority Objective 2: to educate, navigate, and employ youth at high risk for violence and establish a sustainable educational program to reduce youth gun and gang/group violence. Proposals will also be accepted to include facilitation for the community at large as an option for families/intergenerational education around violence prevention.
