Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Window cleaning is defined as removing all foreign deposits such as dirt, tape, adhesive, oxidations, scaling bird droppings, paint residue, etc. This is to be achieved without damage to Horry County School District property to include film, caulking, glazing and window coverings. 2. A minimum two (2) week notice must be provided to the campus/site prior to work being performed. To do so, the planned schedule must be approved by the Area Assistant Manager at least one (1) week before sending the notice. 3. The interior windows have been treated with a security film. The awarded Contractor must exercise special care when cleaning these treated windows, and it is recommended to use a neutral based cleaner with no abrasive qualities. Special care must be taken so as not to use any type of sharp object during the cleaning. 4. Contractor shall ensure that exterior window cleaning services at the facilities commence at the highest level first before proceeding to wash and clean each subsequent lower-level window. 5. Contractor shall perform high dusting with a microfiber wipe or cloth. Workers shall capture dust on the surface of the wipe or cloth and ensure that surfaces are free of dust. Extra care/caution shall be taken to avoid causing any damage to the hanging LED lights in those areas. 6. Contractor may make reasonable use of existing water spigots at the facilities. However, HCS assumes no obligation to provide or maintain any water source for use by the Contractor. 7. Contractor shall promptly clean and dry any liquids spilled on floors during the performance of the Work. 8. No rolling equipment, equipment with sharp edges, or roof penetrating items are to be brought on to the facilities’ roofs. Contractor shall be held responsible for repairing or replacing any damages caused by the Contractor’s operation. 9. All existing structures, utilities, trees, shrubbery, grass, and roads, both public and in which HCS has an interest, shall be protected against damage or interruption of services at all times by the Contractor during the terms of this Contract. Contractor shall be held responsible for repairing or replacing property to the satisfaction of HCS.
