Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. All grass areas to include the “wetlands” shall be mowed and edged once a week during growing season, April through October. The grounds shall be maintained to the property lines. Mowing height shall be appropriate for the type of grass at the facility. During dormant season (November-March) grass will be maintained as needed to maintain a neat appearance. 2. Grass clippings shall be raked and/or bagged and removed from premises by manual or appropriate means. 3. All weeds will be kept eradicated by chemical and/or manual treatment of the lawns and flower and shrub beds. 4. All plant beds, curbs, walks, streets, trees, plants and building areas shall be kept neatly edged and trimmed. Maintain all shapes and configurations of beds. Maintain a clean trench line between grassed areas and beds. 5. Provide reasonable control of disease and insect infestations including fire ants with approved materials to be furnished by contractor. 6. Fertilize grass, plants and trees at proper intervals with appropriate materials to be furnished by the contractor. 7. Litter and debris will be cleaned up and removed from all landscape areas, parking areas and ditches. Debris will include tree limbs, leaves, grass clippings, twigs and trash on the ground. At no time will debris be left behind on premises following work by contractor. 8. Contractor will trim and prune all shrubs as necessary in accordance with the best horticulture practices to achieve the desired manicured look. Remove all low hanging and/or dead branches from trees. 9. Appropriate shrubs shall be sprayed with dormant oil in late Winter/early spring and fungicides shall be applied as necessary. 10. Ivy climbing the wall will be maintained appropriately. 11. Gutters to be cleaned and maintained quarterly at a minimum. 12. Contractor will replenish mulch/pine straw in beds April and September. Mulch/pine straw will be provided by contractor. 13. At both parking lot perimeters and paving joints, weeds and grasses are to be controlled with contact herbicide sprays and/or manual weeding bi-weekly. 14. Replace flowers in the beds twice a year (spring and fall) with an appropriate seasonal flower.
