The MDMR is seeking bids from qualified and experienced contractors to create a staging area by removing vegetation from a 100 ft x 200 ft project area, level the site with fill dirt, and spread a layer of gravel on top of the fill. The contractor will also create an entrance to the site, which will require filling approximately 100 ft of existing ditch and compacting it for safe ingress/egress of vehicles. The purpose of this project is to improve safety for firefighters and the public by getting fire equipment off the road and to provide a defensible space for firefighters and fire equipment during wildland fire activities. The scope of work to be performed and the deliverables required under the contract are set forth herein.
