The work to be undertaken includes, but may not be limited to: 1. Debris Removal from Public Property: Removal of vegetative debris, construction and demolition debris (“C & D Debris”), or other debris from public right-of-way and other public properties including but not limited to parks, city property, and city maintained easements. Removal of debris beyond the limits of public rights-of-way as necessary to abate imminent and/or significant threats to public health and safety of the community, when directed by the City of Wilson. 2. All eligible debris shall be disposed of at the Wilson County Landfill located at 2400 NC Highway 42 during the Landfill’s operating hours. Debris accumulated after the Landfill’s working hours will be hauled to the City of Wilson Compost Facility located on 3105 Stantonsburg Road SE, Wilson, NC 27893. All debris will be taken to these locations unless otherwise directed by the City of Wilson. 3. Documentation and Inspections: All debris shall be subject to inspection by the City of Wilson. Inspections will be to insure compliance with the contract and applicable local, state and federal laws. The Contractor will, at all times, provide the City of Wilson access to all work sites and disposal areas. The Contractor will work closely with state authorities, FEMA and other agencies to ensure that debris collection and data documenting appropriately address concerns of the likely reimbursement agencies. 4. The Contractor will assist the City of Wilson with developing and implementing request to use alternative procedures for any debris removal pilot program established by FEMA. 5. Hazardous Stump Extraction: The Contractor shall extract all stumps that are determined to be hazardous to public access and as directed by the City of Wilson. Stumps will be hauled to DMS where they shall be inspected and categorized by size.
