Specifications include, but are not limited to: Gadsden Elementary School needs restroom upgrades in their buildings. The goal is to upgrade the bathrooms to touchless operations for handwashing stations and toilets, updated lighting, along with providing upgraded partitions and replaced flooring and wall tiles. 5.2 The work is limited to only the four (4) buildings on the campus with restrooms, which includes the cafeteria. Work will also include replacement of exterior doors where needed. 5.3 The district has determined that the brand manufacturers outlined herein are in its best interest for standardization and long-term maintenance. 5.4 All equipment shall be new. Installed equipment shall avoid interference with other existing structures or equipment. 5.5 Flush valves must be Sloan, battery-operated or equal; the entire flush valve assembly shall be replaced. 5.6 Faucets must be Zurn Aqua sense Z6915-xl, battery operated or equal. 5.7 Toilets must be ADA compliant, American Standard, Kohler or equal. 5.8 Wash stations must be Bradley or equivalent. 5.9 Flooring tile must be 12”x24 “, grey. 5.10 All sinks must have new shut-off valves, supply lines, and waste lines to wall. 5.11 Toilet partitions must be steel, color coated finish, floor anchored with manufacturers standard supports and anchors. Concrete wall partitions must be removed in Building 4 and replaced with these toilet partitions. 5.12 Ceramic floor tile shall cover 6ft in height, covering all areas from the floor, using 5”x10” tiles, installed according to manufacturer’s recommendations, with 1/8" grout joints. 5.13 Hand dryers should be Xlerator 110-120V or equal. 5.14 Electrical switches, light fixtures and wiring shall be replaced as necessary. 5.15 All work shall be field verified and coordinated to perform the work outlined without additional cost. 5.16 Contractor is responsible for ensuring all equipment is installed properly. Equipment shall be installed as required by the manufacturer’s specification. 5.17 Contractor shall be responsible for all compliance requirements. Permit fees are not anticipated. Any change to this understanding shall be communicated with the District’s Maintenance Director upon discovery and coordinated accordingly by the Contractor.
