Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Tree Trimming: The contractor shall trim trees in proximity to power lines to maintain proper clearance and prevent interference with electric distribution infrastructure. 2. Vegetation Management: In addition to tree trimming, the contractor shall manage other vegetation, including bushes, shrubs, and vines, that may pose a threat to the reliability of the electric system. 3. Emergency Response: The contractor must be capable of providing emergency tree trimming services on short notice in the event of storm damage or other emergencies that require immediate attention. • Six feet from nearest conductor – Under this method, all vegetation except grass will be removed from ground to sky on each side of the power line for a distance measured horizontally six feet from the power line conductor closest to the edge of the resulting rightof-way. All tree stumps will be removed to a height no greater than two inches above ground level. • Six feet from all conductors, starting with the lowest electric system conductor and continuing upward to include all overhanging limbs – Under this method, all vegetation will be removed to produce six feet of clearance from all primary and secondary lines, and leave the lower material cut flat at a horizontal distance of six feet below the lowest power line conductor. Six feet measured horizontally from the nearest power line conductor, except that overhanging limbs more than fifteen feet above the highest power line conductor are not removed. • Ten feet from nearest conductor – Under this method, all vegetation except grass will be removed from ground to sky on each side of the power line for a distance measured horizontally ten feet from the power line conductor closest to the edge of the resulting rightof-way. All stumps will be removed to a height no greater than two inches above ground level. • Ten feet from all conductors, starting with the lowest electric system conductor and continuing upward to include all overhanging limbs – Under this method, all vegetation will be removed to produce ten feet of clearance from all primary and secondary lines, and leave the lower material cut flat at a horizontal distance of ten feet below the lowest power line conductor.
