Specifications include, but are not limited to: The South Carolina Department of Mental Health (SCDMH) Office of Suicide Prevention (OSP) provides training and awareness about suicide prevention efforts in SC. Awareness also includes the availability of crisis resources to people in need of Crisis Services in South Carolina (SC). One of the specific demographics we serve are children and who have differing needs from our adult populations. We would like to purchase Gizmo books, as they are an evidence-informed, data-driven, and well-received resource for teaching children about their mental health. Obtaining these books will allow us to continue efforts to provide child-specific resources for mental health awareness across the state. South Carolinians will be able to find these resources at local pediatric offices, schools, libraries, and other common contact points. Another responsibility entrusted to the OSP is to share real-time data on access to resources that are provided to children and youth. The vendor will provide Gizmo Paw Pal plush characters and the books that have information about mental health for children. : No other vendors are authorized to sell the Gizma materials as they are a copyright material.
