Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1) Preparation work. To include but not limited to: A) Remove dust, dirt, and other granular surface deposits by sweeping, blowing with compressed air, rinsing with water, or a combination of these methods. B) Completely remove rubber deposits, existing loose paint chip markings, and other coatings adhering to the pavement, by scraping, wire brushing, sandblasting (not required), mechanical abrasion, or approved chemicals. C) Sandblasting: Use equipment of size and capacity necessary, providing not less than 150 cfm of air at pressure not less than 90 psi at each nozzle used. D) Power wash if necessary and allow to dry overnight or as needed. Scrape or wire brush any remaining peelings. E) Remove any weeds growing at the curbs. 2) Painting of existing parking lot lines and symbols. Only existing items will be painted unless directed by the district after receipt of a price estimate. Re-black out lines that have faded black outs. 3) Worker supervision. Work Supervisor(s) will divide time equally among work sites to insure work is being done properly and to the desired specifications of the district. 4) Site cleaning to remove any accumulation of waste and debris caused from performing the required services. 5) Site repair due to damage caused during the performance of the services. 6) Estimates must be submitted to the district for approval before any additional work is performed. 7) All necessary precautions to place physical barriers to separate work areas from students to prevent direct or in-direct contact with students. There is to be no contact with students unless it is a matter of imminent danger or a medical condition requiring immediate intervention. 8) Apply uniformly painted markings of color(s), lengths, and widths as indicated on the drawings true, sharp edges and ends. Apply paint in one coat only in wet film thickness of 0.015 inch, minimum.
