Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Respond to telephone and email queries from the Family Support and Dispute Resolution Branch at MSDE, DEI/SES regarding critical military parent concerns related to their children and youth receiving or requesting infants and toddlers’ programs or special education in Maryland; and provide information, resources, and support to assist them in resolving issues or concerns. 2. As appropriate, assist with training and transitional services offered by Family Support Services coordinators operating in local public-school systems to facilitate transitions due to military deployments as well as continuing family support. 3. Develop and maintain a comprehensive working relationship with public and private stakeholders and State agencies to expand outreach efforts related to mental and behavioral health for military families; 4. As requested, provide linkages to local, State, and national resources to assist parents in resolving their concerns; 5. As requested, represent the MSDE, DEI/SES at designated offsite military events: 6. Develop annual Division sponsored training for school related military personnel; and 7. As necessary, develop Division reports detailing accomplishments and related activities.
