Specifications include, but are not limited to: The scope of the project consists of renovations to the Lafayette South Regional Public Library facility that generally consists of architectural, mechanical, and electrical system replacements and upgrades. The architectural works includes replacement of selected finishes, mainly including carpet tile flooring and associated resilient base, millwork countertops as well as replacement of selected doors, replacement and/or upgrades to select door hardware, and architectural finishes work that is associated with and necessary to accommodate the other mechanical and electrical replacement and upgrades that are part of the project. Mechanical work includes the partial replacement of the existing building’s DX Split HVAC System with either DX Split HVAC Systems and/or a VRF System, replacement of the building’s three (3) DOAS Rooftop units, and removal and replacement of other specifically noted HVAC system components. Electrical Work includes removal and replacement of select lighting fixtures at the exterior and within the existing buildings as indicated on the plans together with other lighting and power system upgrades. Additionally, the electrical work includes work associated with the removal and replacement of the mechanical HVAC systems as noted above. While the Base Bid includes a portion of the mechanical HVAC system removal and replacement, Alternate Bid Items expand that work to include additional removal and replacement of select designated existing HVAC system units and VAV Boxes. All Base Bid work to be completed within three hundred fifty (350) calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed.
