Specifications include, but are not limited to: Pomperaug Elementary School, (PES), located at 607 Main Street South in Southbury, and Gainfield Elementary School, (GES), located at 307 Old Field Road in Southbury, have been in use since 1967 and 1941, respectively. The District is evaluating these two schools to determine if the best educational use going forward is to Renovate as New each school or combine both schools into a single New school. This Feasibility Study, including plans, phasing plans and cost estimates, will be used to determine the path forward for the District. The District is soliciting qualification statements from Construction Management (CM) Firms. Respondents should demonstrate that they possess the expertise and experience required to manage implementation of either renovation as new, renovation as new with additions or construction of a new combined school facility as designed and specified by the District’s selected Architecture and Engineering (A/E) team, consultants and Board of Education (BOE) Educational Specifications.
