Specifications include, but are not limited to: Dorchester County is seeking quotes for landscape maintenance services at its Upper Wastewater Treatment Plant (UWWTP), located at 125 Heatherwood Drive, St. George, SC 29477. The Contractor shall provide the followings services: 1. Grass shall be cut the first and third weeks of every month during the growing season (March-September) and the second week of every month during the dormant season (October – February). Cut dates can be adjusted for inclement weather or other conflicts with department approval. 2. All debris (such as wire, bottles, rock, tin cans, sticks, paper, and litter) shall be cleared from the area prior to mowing. Accumulated trash and debris will be removed and hauled away from the property. 3. After trimming and mowing, grass clippings and other litter or debris shall be removed from sidewalks and other paved areas. No debris is to remain in the street or on the sidewalk overnight. 4. Mulch is to be kept neat and replaced or replenished as needed to maintain a professional appearance. 5. Around all trees, poles, benches, or any areas that grow excessive grass that cannot be cut with a mower, the area will need to be weed-whacked or grasses removed around these obstacles. 6. Edging: all walkways and curbing should be edged 7. Grass, brush, weeds, and other vegetation growing beside walls, guy wires, poles, shrubs, trees, foundations, garbage can pads, fire hydrants or any object within the designated areas shall be cut at a height consistent with the adjoining turf areas. 8. Tree and hedge grooming: Trees and hedges should be groomed to maintain a professional appearance as needed but no less than twice a year.
