Proposals should be based on security coverage by a fully accredited and Sworn Police Officer, certified under KRS 15.380 whose authority is valid within TARC’s service area. Officers must have arresting authority and their own marked/unmarked/personal police vehicles authorized to be driven in emergencies and may be scheduled seven (7) days per week for each day the contract is in effect. Extra officers may be needed with overlapping schedule from time to time. These services will also include any combination of walking facility patrols to include 29th street, Union Station, Transportation and Operation building and Customer Service and on the road patrols. In addition to the above, active Police Officers may be assigned to cover routes and bus stops with higher occurrences of disruptions and may be tasked to patrol and prevent nuisance crimes in the downtown areas.
