Specifications include, but are not limited to: The selected vendor will be responsible for providing comprehensive firefighter physical examinations for our members. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following: • Conducting medical history reviews and assessments. • Performing physical examinations • Conducting pulmonary function tests (spirometry) and respiratory clearance examinations • Tuberculosis screening and risk assessment • Performing fitness-for-duty evaluations • Providing timely and accurate reports summarizing the results of the examinations. Requirements: The vendor must meet the following requirements: • Possess appropriate certifications and credentials to conduct firefighter physical examination in accordance with OSHA standards. • Have experience in providing similar services to other fire departments. • Employ qualified medical professionals, including physicians, nurses, and technicians, with expertise in conducting firefighter physical examinations. • Have the capacity to accommodate our organization’s scheduling needs and volume of personnel requiring physical examinations. Within this ability to conclude 100 staff members by June 30, 2024. • Have the ability to perform all examinations and testing within the Town of Hamden. • Demonstrate a commitment to confidentiality and compliance with applicable privacy regulations.
