Specifications include, but are not limited to: The intent of this project is to restore existing pavement and sidewalk repairs in the right-of-way to final working condition by the following methods: 1. Saw cut and neatly remove temporary pavement in the right of way, including streets, driveways, sidewalks, curb and gutter, and paved drainage ditches. 2. Install final right of way pavement and related items. 3. Provide traffic control needed to perform the required repairs to the right of way pavement. 4. Perform all work in accordance with the Rights-of-Way Construction and Administration Ordinance of the City of Fairhope. 5. Complete restoration of disturbed right-of-way areas to pre-construction condition or better. The Contractor’s required work also includes: verifying exact locations and conditions of existing utilities, restoration of disturbed areas to pre-construction condition including erosion control, maintenance of construction areas, traffic control, safety planning and implementation, and all other related items in accordance with the project plans and specifications. Unless specifically stated otherwise, these are a subsidiary obligation of the various contract bid items. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials (except for concrete and asphalt provided by City) and equipment necessary to perform the required work in strict accordance with the project plans, specifications and schedules. Payment will only be made for the work performed and accepted. No payment will be made for damages caused by the Contractor to the existing system. Any damage to the existing system or private property as a result of performing the work described herein shall be immediately repaired at the Contractor’s expense.
