This project encompasses the design and development of an elevator upgrade at the Egan Convention Center. The two passenger elevators will be upgraded with new controls, including new hydraulic pump units, new fixtures and complete interior upgrades. Upgrades to the system will bring the elevators up to the current Fire and Life Safety Code. These upgrades or modernization will serve to create a safer rider experience. Safety devices like full screen detectors on the entrance doors and door restrictors to prevent passible door opening when away from the floor will be added. These upgrades will prevent long out of service intervals due to obsolete control parts. This will increase usable elevator life for another 15-20 years.
