Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. Specifications include, but are not limited to: Current research efforts that are being requested, and funded, by the NIH require the Center to have the capability to analyze multiple types of biochemicals and biomolecules (i.e., proteins, metabolites, nucleic acids, glycans, lipids) at the single cell level, as well their sequential analysis on the same cell. The Center currently does not have the means to apply the chemical matrix required for analyte detection that allows single cell resolution. HTX Technologies, LLC SubliMATE uses controlled and reproducible chemical sublimation to allow single cell analysis that is required for the Centers work. The instrument will be used to support current NIH funding to the investigators, 7 NIH grants, two Foundation grants, a NIDDK-sponsored core facility, and an S10 large equipment grant. It will also provide continued competitiveness for future grant submission.
