Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contractor is to provide legal advice and representation throughout all stages of the proceedings involving hearings for all alleged parole violators including evidentiary hearings before the Board, unless such representation is waived. The Board typically holds parole violation disposition hearings one day per week, 50 weeks per year, with an additional 10 days per year scheduled as necessary. Up to 35 parole violation disposition hearings are held in a day. The Board conducts parole violation evidentiary hearings on a separate day of the week from the parole violation disposition hearings. Over the past three years, the Board has scheduled an average of approximately 20 parole violation evidentiary hearings per year, but the parties may negotiate a settlement, subject to Board approval, and negate the necessity of the evidentiary hearing.
