ACC is seeking iConnect (or Compatible) HVAC, and Plumbing Training Equipment. in an effort to create the Fast Track Career Training Center (FTCTC), a training hub for a wide range of high-demand careers including HVAC technicians, welders, and plumbers at ACC’s Northridge Campus in North Austin and throughout the Central Texas Region. The Fast Track Training programs at ACC have been specially designed to develop and deliver the skills students need in a short period of time and build connections with employers so that the students can enter into these high growth occupations quickly. The FTCTC will prepare low-income Central Texans for high-demand, highpaying jobs by incorporating the following: 1) Providing students with training and credentials in fewer than six (6) months, enabling them to begin working quickly; 2) Training over 800 individuals to work in the plumbing, HVAC, and welding industries; and by; 3) Using mobile training equipment to expand the FTCTC program by offering residents in rural communities’ access to workforce training opportunities. 4) Rapid business and industry growth in Texas have increased the demand for trained welders, HVAC technicians, and plumbers. The need for HVAC technicians and plumbers is also expected to increase in the next decade.
