Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit proposals from qualified applicants (Home Repair Contractors) to reduce the identified environmental and safety hazards in the designated homes. ADPH is currently accepting proposals from general contractors to coordinate issues related to general remodeling construction, heating and air, painting, window replacement, plumbing, cleaning, and landscaping. Any work related to lead hazards or lead-based paint must be performed by an Alabama lead certified contractor. All work on pre-1978 homes must be performed by an Alabama Certified Renovation Repair and Painting (RRP) contractor. For residences identified with high radon levels, radon mitigation solutions will need to be approved before implemented. Benefits to contractor include steady flow of work, clear and accurate work specifications, guaranteed payment for services, and timely payment as work is successfully completed.
