Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City intends to widen portions of the Springfield Canal from U.S. Highway 17 On-Ramp areas, reaching south to Stiles Avenue at the Musgrove Canal Crossing to allow for the Canal to eventually convey a 100-year, 24-year rainfall event occurring in the surrounding watershed. In addition, the City intends to design and construct stormwater infrastructure improvements within the Carver Village and Cloverdale neighborhoods, to achieve a minimum level of service/protection of the 25-year, 24-hour rainfall event. The latter performance target represents the minimum required level of service; however designed improvements within the neighborhoods are desired for the 100-year, 24-hour rainfall event conveyance, as this is planned to be achieved eventually.
