Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Construction of 8-inch to 48-inch sewer main at depths of up to 40 feet via open cut and trenchless methods including one curved tunnel segment (open face pipe jacking and open face tunneling). b. Installation of large diameter (48-inch) sewer main within the 100-year floodplain. c. A narrow heavily vegetated construction corridor, with adjacent trail systems that must remain operational throughout the duration of the project. d. Careful planning and sequencing of construction activities to tie into existing sewer infrastructure. e. Set-up, operation, and monitoring of small diameter sewer bypass pumping, defined as less than 24-inch diameter pipe (approximately 6 million gallons per day or less). f. Set-up, operation, and monitoring of large diameter sewer bypass pumping, defined as 24-inch diameter pipe or larger (approximately 11 million gallons per day or less). g. Careful planning and coordination of construction activities along various CoSA trails. h. Close coordination with several key stakeholders including but not limited to: the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDoT), CoSA Arborist, CPS Energy, CoSA Parks, private property owners, and business owners. i. Limited access to project site via Grissom Road, Bandera Road, drainage areas, and access roads. j. Access is not provided through the following CoSA Parks trailheads: Grissom Trail Head and Mainland Trail Head.
