The CMAR will be expected to provide design review on selected items, pre-construction services, open-book construction cost estimating, construction services, and commissioning for the project. The CMAR will be responsible for regular communication and collaboration with BJWSA and Engineer including design review and value engineering workshops. Value engineering will also include alternatives evaluation that are identified in the draft 90% documents. The CMAR will be responsible for acquiring applicable building permits from local agencies. The CMAR will also assist BJWSA and Engineer in the sequencing of construction that allows the Facility to operate continuously at permitted flow conditions without interruption for the duration of the project. BJWSA will not provide workspace for members of the CMAR during construction, and all necessary field office space shall be the responsibility of the CMAR.
