Specifications include, but are not limited to: Pin/Charm/Pendant • The emblem shall be triangular in shape measuring 16 ½ x 16 ½ x 16 ½ mm with the Department logo and a centered inset panel illustrating total service years (XX YEARS) on the bottom of the triangle. • Material shall be yellow gold in two pieces with the fish to be pegged as the base piece. • Weight shall be 10 carat (1.9 DWT). • Pins, charms, and pendants shall have a polished front and edges and a satin back finish. • The enamel shall be hard-fired or a method equal to hard-fired. • Color: Black background lettering in outer border and background for numerals and years (bottom panel); #770 brown in body and head of raccoon and right side of tree; #690 green in mask and tail of raccoon and left side of tree. Colors that match the color numbers stated above may be used only after receipt of approval by the Department. • The applicable year stone shall be set in the center of the fish o 10 years – synthetic pearl (12pp) o 15 years – synthetic golden topaz (12pp) o 20 years – synthetic sapphire (12 pp) o 25 years – synthetic emerald (12 pp) o 30 years – synthetic ruby (12 pp) o 35 years - .01 ½ carat full cut diamond o 40 years - .04 carat full cut diamond o Commissioner - .04 carat full cut diamond
