Specifications include, but are not limited to: Painting: a) See attached painting specifications. b) For all in-scope surfaces, provide 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of finish paint. c) Clean all surfaces to prepare for coating application in accordance with manufacturers recommendations. d) Provide submittals for all paint systems and products. Basis of design shall be Sherwin Williams coatings or approved equal. e) All colors shall be approved by the owner. Base color scheme shall include one trim color, one accent wall color, one ceiling color, and one typical wall color. f) Protect/mask non-work surfaces at all times. g) Provide drop cloths at all walls to be painted up to 4 feet coverage from the wall. h) Provide full coverage drop cloth for floors where ceilings are to be painted. i) All drips, spills, splatter, inadvertent brush strokes, or unintended paint coverage shall be cleaned up immediately. j) Provide scaffolding and/or ladders to access all areas of work, including stairwells and stairwell ceilings. k) Reference paint specifications in appendix “C” of this document. l) Doors: Doors present within the facility are a combination of wood veneer or hollow metal doors. As part of the base scope of this project, include the painting of 80 doors as selected by the owner. All door hardware shall be removed prior to painting and reinstalled after painting is completed. m) Radiators: Cast iron radiators are present in stairwells and at some locations. All cast iron radiators shall be removed so that the space behind the radiator can be painted. Radiators shall be fully prepped and painted before reinstallation. All radiators in stairwells ( 1 per floor / landing) are included in the base scope of this project. Any additional radiators shall be approved via allowance / unit price.
