Specifications include, but are not limited to: The short-term goals of the Rural Energy Audit Program are to: • Fund 75% of costs for at least 20 audits over two years. Objective is to expend USDA grant funds consistently over the program to qualify to reapply for grant funding regularly. The next planned application for grant funding is in the first quarter of 2025. • Provide a higher level of service to underserved areas of Oregon. a. Determine which areas have existing programs/services/auditors and identify gaps where programs do not exist, or funds are not available. b. Develop other resources and connect with partners (such as Consumer-Owned Utilities) to meet needs in these locations. c. Focus outreach efforts to ensure that audits are completed in these locations. • Be responsive to participants and provide continuity of service. a. Provide a single point of contact/team for participants for the duration of the energy audit project. • Collect data on audit outcomes. a. Refer participants to project funding resources.
