Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Inspect motor for damage, bearing noise, vibration, brush wear, loose bolts and brackets. Inspect motor leads for damaged insulation and loose connections. Inspect coils, contact leads, shunts, wires, fuses or overload devices for loose connection and signs of overheating. Inspect panel boards and arc shields for cracks, loose bolts, dirt, and moisture. OSHA 1910.179(g)(2) • Test all control operation motions for proper operation of all directions and speed points, limits switches for proper operation. ANSI B30.2-2.3.1 • Inspect resistors for proper covers, support to limit vibration, adequate ventilation, conductors for flame resistant outer covering.
