Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Removing and replacing thirty (32) courtroom pew/benches in Courtrooms 1 and 2. a. Courtrooms 1 and 2 shall have a Cantilever pew/bench end style and will match the existing colors. b. Furnishing supplementary and miscellaneous items including, but not limited to, anchorage, braces, fasteners, and devices incidental to or necessary for a sound and secure installation. c. Achieving a layout of the benches that conforms to ADA regulations and maximizes the seating capacity. 2. Bench counts and approximate sizes for each Courtroom are as follows: a. Courtroom 1: Fourteen (14)-12’ (benches), two (2)-9’ b. Courtroom 2: Fourteen (14)-12’ (benches), two (2)-9’ 3. Materials a. Bench shall have a solid wood back and seat with wood supports; end panels with solid caps. Benches shall meet the Test Method for Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Materials ASTM E84. (1) Fabricate per approved shop drawings. (2) Adhesives: Type II (moisture resistant). (3) Back: Flat full height style. Solid wood with a solid wood cap rail. (4) Seat: Contoured style. Solid wood with a solid wood edge band and seat rail. (5) Supports: solid with solid wood base and front/back edge bands. (6) End Panels: Custom Design. Solid wood sides and solid wood edge bands and solid wood caps. (7) All exposed wood: i Type: Oak ii Cut: Flat Cut iii Solid Wood: Premium 1 (8) Continuous length benches over 18 ft in length must be joined with fully concealed locking mechanical connector with spline or dowel joint alignment.
