Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Check overall appearance for leaks, loose wires, loose mountings, etc. b. Check the coolant level, test for the amount of protection, adjust it to the proper specification, and record it on the inspection sheet. c. Pressure test the cooling system for leaks. d. Check all coolant hoses, clamps, and drive belts for deterioration; adjust and replace as necessary. e. Check the water pump bearings for excessive play and the fan blade for cracks and vibration. f. Check engine heater operation and adjust if necessary. g. Clean and service batteries, battery cable terminals, and holders, check specific gravity and record, and test batteries with a load tester. h. Check the battery charger and adjust to the proper specifications. i. Check alternator on units so equipped. j. Service all engines, changing oil, oil filters, fuel filters, air filters, and lubricating all linkages as needed.
