Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Rehabilitation of the existing powdered activated carbon system at the Lake Murray WTP, including addition of a new carbon storage tank and associated equipment. The following major items are included: a. Addition of a new powdered activated carbon slurry storage tank with associated equipment, piping, valves, mixer, jib crane, instrumentation and control. b. Chemical metering pump improvements, including: one (1) additional carbon slurry metering pump, and replacement of existing pump VFDs. c. Carbon slurry yard piping upgrades including new valve vault/platform. d. Upgrades to the existing carbon slurry storage tank equipment. e. Upgrades to the existing pump & electrical rooms. f. Replacement of existing PLC equipment.
