Specifications include, but are not limited to: Mosquito and Midge Fly fogging and larvicide treatment will be performed in Gilbert’s public parks, groundwater recharge facilities and at three Parkway Improvement Districts (PKID)s listed below. Fogging operations are performed beginning April 1st through the end of October each calendar year in all Gilbert parks and at the three PKIDs. Fogging is performed year around at Gilbert’s three groundwater recharge facilities. The fogging operations are performed at night between the hours of 10:00pm and 5:00am, typically on Monday, (Wednesday) and Thursday evenings (weather permitting). The larvicide treatments are performed year around at all the Gilbert sites listed below. Special circumstances or events may require call-out fogging or larvicide at additional locations. Fogging: Parks and PKID’s: will be fogged 2x/week from April 1 – October 31. During July and August they will be fogged with Zenivex. The rest of the term they will be fogged with Kontrol 4-4. Note, PKIDs must be fogged after midnight. Neely and Riparian Recharge Facilities will be fogged 2x/week through-out the year. July and August they will be fogged with Zenivex. The rest of the year they will be fogged with Kontrol 4-4. The South Recharge Facility will be fogged 2x/week from November 1 – March 31. The facility will be fogged 3x/week from April 1 – October 31. In July and August, it will be fogged with Zenivex. The rest of the year it will be fogged with Kontrol 4-4. No washes, canals or roadways adjacent to washes and canals can be fogged at any time. (including the Western Canal, SRP Consolidated Canal, Sonoqui Wash and Queen Creek Wash). When weather prohibits fogging activities on the scheduled day and time, the contractor will attempt to fog the following evening.
