The Colorado Building was built in 1946 to house rabbits for the annual State Fair and otherrabbit shows. The use of building has seen many changes throughout the years but therehave not been many improvements or physical changes. This building has not had a recentFacility Condition Audit, however, many deficiencies documented in the 1996 FCA and the2007 Historic Structures Assessment are still relevant. In alignment with the Colorado State Fair’s Master Plan, this building will serve as an interim space for exhibits such as our Fine Art Show and other static exhibits during the annual State Fair as we continue our master planned projects which include the demolition of the current Fine Arts building. We anticipate that this building will serve this purpose for approximately 10 to 15 years and therefore will require some updates. This building is utilized for events and other activities three to five days per week year-round. The building houses several popular exhibits and is a meeting/catering space for several groups during the annual Fair
