Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Fife is soliciting statements of qualifications from professional engineering firms interested in providing engineering design services and obtaining required environmental permits for the City of Fife 62nd Avenue Multimodal Improvements project. Design work is anticipated to start in July 2024 and end in January 2026 with the option for the City of Fife to extend it for additional time and money, if necessary. This federally funded project has EEO, ADA and Civil Rights requirements that must be adhered to. Project has a mandatory 20% DBE goal. Work on 62nd Avenue E between 20th Street E and Valley Avenue E will include reducing the number of travel lanes from three to two, installing bike lanes, sidewalk, and ADA ramps. Pedestrian improvements on 62nd Avenue E will also include a raised crosswalk with rectangular rapid flashing beacon and pedestrian scale lighting. A shared use path and ADA ramps will be installed along the south side of 20th Street E between 62nd Avenue E and 58th Avenue E. Major features include: • Reconfiguring the roadways for multimodal use • Community/stakeholder engagement • Environmental documentation and preparation of permit applications • Determination of right-of-way (ROW) needs and ROW plans • Utility coordination
