Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Phase One – Liberty Park Cultural Landscape Report & Informational Public Outreach Campaign Objectives: The Cultural Landscape Report shall provide documentation, analysis, and evaluation of historical, architectural, archeological, ethnographic, horticultural, landscape architectural, engineering, and ecological data. It will analyze the Park’s historical development, evolution, modifications, materials, construction techniques, geographical context, and use in all periods, including those deemed not significant. 1. Consultant shall create a cultural landscape report that will establish preservation goals for the landscape and identified features. The goals must be firmly grounded in research, inventory, documentation, and analysis and evaluation of the Park’s landscape characteristics and associated features, and best preservation practices. The contents and format of the Liberty Park CLR shall follow National Park Service (NPS) guidelines. However, the document is flexible in its allowance for the specifics of the Liberty Park analysis (as an active-use park) and the potentially different management objectives provided therein. Based on NPS guidelines, the Liberty Park CLR will consist of three primary parts: Part 1: Introduction: Management Summary, Historical Summary, Scope of Work, Methodology, Study Area, Summary of Findings, Recommendations for Further Study (if needed) Park 2: Site History, Existing Conditions, and Analysis and Evaluation Part 3: Landscape Treatment and Design Criteria Recommendations
