Specifications include, but are not limited to: Project involves replacing approximately 1,330 linear feet of the new 8” ductile iron (DI) water line on Maxwell Road. The new 8” DI water line will tie to the 6” cast iron (CI) water line on Grimes Bridge Road and the 8” DI water line on Mansell Circle. The new line will replace approximately 1,330 linear feet of 6” Asbestos Concrete (AC) water line and 2” galvanized steel (GS) water line, which runs parallel with the 6” AC line, on Maxwell Road. The 6” AC and 2” GS lines will be abandoned in place and the 6” AC line will be filled with flowable fill concrete, located under the pavement. Project also include replacing 204 linear feet of 6” asbestos concrete (AC) water line and 148 linear feet of 2” GS, on Rocky Creek Lane, with 204 linear feet of 6” DI pipe and approximately 400 linear feet of 2” Municipex/ HDPE pipe. The new 6” line will tie to the existing 6” AC line on Rocky Creek Dr. As part of this project, a new fire hydrant will be installed on Rocky Creek Drive at the intersection of Rocky Creek Lane.
