Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Approximately 50 participants • Active electrocardiogram (ECG) with physician interpretation and evaluation • Cardiometabolic stress test with expiratory gas analysis – determines contributions of fat and carbohydrate into total daily energy expenditure (indirect calorimetry). • Advanced lipid panel including cardiac inflammatory biomarker analysis – also includes overview of hematology, liver/kidney function, thyroid, PSA (men), HbA1c (diabetes). • Carotid Intima-media thickness ultrasound (CIMT) – performed on-site and interpreted in real-time. • Consultation with a mid-level clinician (Advanced-practice nurse/practitioner or physician’s assistant). • Consultation with exercise physiologist. • This work will be completed at one location determined by the Bend Police Department. The work will likely be completed at the main campus of the Bend Police Department, located at 555 NE 15th Street, Bend Oregon. There could be some unique circumstances with the blood draw that could require a select few employees to travel off site to obtain this service.
