The County currently anticipates approximately 181 Firefighters will be screened over multiple years. Participation in screenings is voluntary. Phase I is anticipated to provide screening for approximately 41 Firefighters, ages 45 and older, with follow-up testing conducted three (3) years following the first test. Phase II will provide screening for the remaining Firefighters also with follow-up testing conducted three (3) years following the initial test. As part of these screenings, the awarded contractor shall perform the following services. Offerors must identify whether the services can be conducted on site or whether travel to a facility is required: Required Services – Offerors must provide responses to the following required services, or the proposal may be deemed non-responsive: The Awarded Contractor shall provide the below required services, Offerors shall describe how the offered services address the requirements detailed below. 1. Conduct an initial oncology consultation, including exposure assessment, and follow-up. 2. Conduct a comprehensive blood analysis which can detect the presence of different cancers and identify the site of the cancer’s origin. 3. Offerors must have the ability to conduct body imaging to include one or more of the following MRI imaging, CT scans or ultrasounds for the detection of cancer in various organs of the body. Imaging should include, but not be limited to, the thyroid, spleen, pancreas, prostate, uterus, liver, lungs and pleura, gallbladder, and kidneys. 4. Results must be read by a board-certified radiologist within ten business days of the date the test is conducted. 5. Reporting of results shall go directly to the screening participant and shall comply with all Health Insurance Privacy and Portability Act (HIPPA) requirements.
