Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Signing streets “No Parking” 24 hours prior to beginning of construction. 2. Provide proposed work schedule to City Engineering staff 2 weeks prior to work beginning so City can provide advance notification to residents that will be impacted. 3. If schedule changes due to weather or other circumstances, “no parking” signs must be removed or updated with new dates immediately. 4. Milling existing surface to specified depth, according to the 2012 KYTC Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction (“KYTC Standard Specifications”) Section 408. 5. Sweeping street surface clear of dust and debris created by milling prior to resurfacing, according to Section 02512–3.2. 6. Milling adjacent to or adjusting manhole and valve box frames to final surface grade prior to resurfacing. To be incorporated with the milling process. Must coordinate with the appropriate utility company. 7. Resurfacing streets to the specified depth, according to KYTC Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction Section 403. Refer to Section 409 for use of Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement. 8. Sealing joints with hot-poured sealant according to KYTC Standard Specifications Section 807. 9. Applying Line Striping for Centerline (double yellow line), Crosswalks and Stop Bars as shown on Bid Form, according to KYTC Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction Section 713. 10. Maintenance and control of traffic on streets where CONTRACTOR is performing resurfacing work. CONTRACTOR shall communicate traffic maintenance and control plans to OWNER prior to beginning the Work. 11. Environmental controls including but not limited to erosion, dust control, cleaning of streets, and surface drainage. 12. Striping and crosswalks must be installed within 30 days of new asphalt being installed.
