Specifications include, but are not limited to: o Successful bidder will be responsible for assisting the KDADS Audit team in the review of all aspects of the CCBHC cost report. This includes, but is not limited to; ▪ Determining proper allocation of costs based on required activities and billable codes. ▪ Reviewing for items not considered billable or reimbursable by the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) under Kansas’ Medicaid State Plan and/or the CCBHC Demonstration Project. ▪ Provide second audit/review after KDADS Audit team completes their review. ▪ Provide technical assistance and best practices to the KDADS Audit team. o Successful bidder will provide feedback on each cost report within five (5) business days of cost report receipt from the KDADS Audit team. ▪ This does not represent the totality of feedback but sets the initial response time. Additional discussions, meetings, and reviews may be needed depending on the complexity of the cost report. o Pending Kansas’ acceptance into the Federal CCBHC Demonstration Project, the successful bidder will be involved in the annual auditing of costing reports prior to submission to CMS. ▪ This process begins at the conclusion of each Federal Demonstration year (12.31) and is due to CMS prior to April 1. As such, the successful bidder must be available during that time to process through up to 26 cost reports.
