The City of Aiken, South Carolina is requesting interested firms to provide hydrant flushing services for the implementation of a Unidirectional Flushing (UDF) Plan for a portion of the City of Aiken’s water distribution system within the proximity of the downtown area. The City of Aiken selection committee will evaluate each of the submittals on the following criteria: 1. Contractor’s demonstrated experience and ability to provide the unidirectional flushing services defined herein. (30 points) 2. Contractor’s proposed approach for communication and coordination during implementation of the UDF Plan with the City and for public outreach both during and prior to the implementation of the UDF Plan. (20 points) 3. Contractor’s proposed approach and experience for the valve and hydrant assessment prior to the implementation of the UDF Plan (15 points) 4. Contractor’s proposed timeline to provide and complete the UDF Plan as described herein. (15 points) 5. Contractor's demonstrated experience and ability to perform similar services for local governments and public works related projects. (10 points) 6. Previous performance/experience on City of Aiken, SC contracts and/or references from similar jurisdictions and associated work / statement describing the firm or person’s ability to service City of Aiken projects. (10 points)
