Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Initial Inspection and Integrated Pest Management Program Creation a. Awarded contractor must perform a detailed initial inspection of each school/facility listed in Appendix A to familiarize themselves with the building, view existing conditions, and review the IPM plan currently in place. b. Within (10) business days of the initial inspection, contractor must provide the EHPS Department of Facilities Operations Manager updated IPM plans (conforming to model plans required by section 22a-66l of the Connecticut General Statues, and any other applicable regulations) for each facility. c. IPM plans must be approved by EHPS prior to the start of regular services. 2. Regular Service Visits a. Contractor will provide WEEKLY service visits to East Hartford High School and East Hartford Middle School. A special emphasis shall be placed on food storage areas, kitchen closets, locker rooms, janitorial closets, and other high-risk areas in the building. b. Contractor will provide MONTHLY service visits to all buildings listed in Appendix A, except for the buildings listed in section 2.a which will receive weekly service visits. c. Service visits will target treatment and inspection (interior and exterior) for various pests including roaches, ants, silverfish, rodents, etc. d. Customer issues that have accrued since the last service visit (that do not rise to the level of a “special service”- see below) shall be addressed during normal service visits. e. Regular service visits shall take place after 1:30PM to limit disruption to building operations. f. NO pesticides may be used during regular service visits. 3. Reports and Records Maintenance a. Contractor will be responsible for updating and maintaining on-site records in accordance with the IPM for each facility. Records must be immediately updated at the conclusion of each service visit to a location, with a copy (preferably electronic) sent to the Department of Facilities at 734 Tolland St., East Hartford. 4. Special Service (as-needed) Visitsa. Contractor is expected to provide adequate measures during regular service visits to mitigate chances of future pest problems. However, EHPS acknowledges that there may be emergent issues that require treatment or a unique situation that require service between regular service visits. These special service visits will be at the request of the EHPS Department of Facilities and contractor will be compensated at the rates established in Appendix A- Pricing. • Examples of special service visits: Bee/hornet nest removal, reports of increased rodent activity, heavy volume of ants in an area, etc.
