Specifications include, but are not limited to: There will be approximately 388 Driver Safety Meetings conducted throughout the calendar year. Driver Safety meetings are conducted quarterly for 1 hour at Public Works field locations. Training format shall include lecture, video (15 minutes max), and question/answer period. These meetings are used to update drivers on legal issues affecting truck drivers and to present discussion topics relevant to Public Works work operations. The safety meetings must include the following topics, but not limited to the following: • Backing Prevention • Pre/Post Trip Inspections • Road Rage; Tags’ will be provided at the end of each meeting. Tags are a 15-minute quick review on topics determined by Public Works and provided to selected vendor before the start of the program. Public Works reserves the right to enhance existing topics in order to meet training program goals and objectives. Vendors may also include additional topics or suggestions in their REP for consideration. Information will be reviewed for quality and relevance under the selection criteria.
