Specifications include, but are not limited to: Engineering and related design services will be required for all aspects of the project including signaling. The design team will be responsible for the design, permitting, and any other design services that may be required as part of the project, as well as assisting as necessary in coordinating the KYTC personnel overseeing the LPA project. The selected firm(s) will be responsible for delivery of Final Roadway Design including preparations of any design studies, drainage design, final right of way plans, construction plans, traffic control plans and cost estimates as necessary to provide final Grade, Drain, and Surfacing Plans for the Project. The selected firm(s) will also be responsible for bidding and negotiation, construction administration, and will manage all aspects of the project. If more than one firm will form a design team, the submission must make clear which team member is responsible for each aspect of the project. The selected consultant must utilize the most recent CADD Standards for Highway Plans Policy in the development of the highway plans. Available LIDAR mapping may need to be supplemented with conventional surveying. The selected firm will be responsible for determining the existing locations of utilities to determine feasibility of redesign or utility relocation and cost estimates.
