Review the tunnel and provide engineering solutions to the tunnel deterioration. These remedials actions may include but not limited to: Ground water infiltration remediation Minerals build up removal and prevention Steel piping support replacement of rusted sections Removal of unused piping elements as well as unused electric power lines Any other AE remedial engineering solutions The AE team may review prior studies that have been done so as to provide insight to the recommended remedial methods and actions . The AE Team will be required to provide an estimate from a reputable contractor and figure out the best approach to the remediation, and/or phasing the remediation in terms of priorities given to the most damaged sections. The Designated Additional Services for the Project will include: Cost Estimating The Basic Services for the Project will include: Schematic Design Phase Design Development Phase Construction Document Phase Bidding / Negotiation Phase Construction Phase - Administration of Construction Contract Any cost estimating for the Project shall be prepared by a qualified, experienced, and licensed construction contractor, or others as approved by the University.
