Specifications include, but are not limited to: establish on-call contracts with professional engineering firms to perform design engineering services and prepare written reports for tasks related to sanitary sewer, including, but not limited to: Hydraulic Modeling (Mike Urban and others) Pump Station Rehabilitation Designs Sanitary force main condition assessments Gravity sanitary sewer assessments (Following National Association of Sewer Service Companies (NASSCO) Standards) Sanitary sewer and water extension designs Engineering support and services, to include, but not be limited to, SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) Supporting the Owner with any tasks and coordination associated with Hampton Roads Sanitation District (HRSD) Related components and systems, as authorized by the Owner Staffing Assistance—Selected firms may provide assistance to County staff on short-term or longterm in-house projects. The firm’s staff shall remain as employees of the firm, but provide services alongside County staff, in County office facilities, for County in-house work. It shall be explicitly agreed and understood that the firm’s employees are acting on behalf of the Engineer, and are not employees or agents of the County Contractor’s Responsibilities: The Engineer shall be familiar with the Hampton Roads Special Order by Consent with the Commonwealth of Virginia, and provide engineer services to support the Owner with any associated tasks and coordination with Hampton Roads Sanitation District (HRSD). Related Services as authorized by the Owner may also be provided. The Engineer shall furnish all materials, labor, tools, supplies, equipment, transportation, incidentals and all other items necessary to complete the inspection, design, analysis, and reporting of all tasks in an expeditious manner. All written documents shall be prepared and furnished to the Owner as both draft and final versions in both hard copy and electronic format in either Microsoft Word or other formats as determined by Owner.
